Made For You

SONNET 2’s design embodies its slogan: “Made For You”. The audio processor is created with the user in mind, ensuring the best hearing quality possible. The new SONNET 2 boasts the most advanced ASM 3.0 technology that adapts to whichever sound-environment the user is in, is very simple to use and will easily fit into a person’s lifestyle.

Mr. David Rätz, Director of Product Management at MED-EL says: "The SONNET 2 comes with a brand-new and extremely powerful chipset. This all new electronic platform allows an unprecedented intelligent way of audio processing and thus individually optimized hearing, even for the most challenging environments. This means for the user that he or she doesn’t need to worry anymore about having to change settings: The embedded Adaptive Intelligence is detecting changes in the listening environment automatically and SONNET 2 applies the optimal front-end processing, including wind noise reduction and removal of constant or sudden annoying background noises."

And it’s stylish too - with over 191,000 color combinations to choose from, users can customize their implant to match their own individual look and outfit.

Connectivity

The SONNET 2 connects to smart phones and tablets using Bluetooth and the brand new AudioLink device, so that users can stream phone calls and music directly to their ears. Users can also choose how they would like to change settings – either from their phone or with the AudioKey app (available for both iPhones and Android devices) or the FineTuner Echo remote control.

Fitting Software

The most important factor in the development of the MAESTRO 8 is the fact that it is truly intuitive; audiologists need a software that is both powerful and fits to an individual’s hearing. The new MAESTRO 8 software has guided workflows that show each step in the fitting process, suggesting tasks and tools along the way. In addition, the extended data logging functions optimize their daily work.

Jennifer Robinson, MED-EL Product Manager says: “MAESTRO 8 has been designed to be easier and faster. It helps clinicians to work through their day with less obstacles in the way.”

The new SONNET 2 audio processor and MAESTRO 8 fitting software will be launched on 4th July with a series of in-depth product demonstration videos, available to watch at go.medel.pro/ppci19.
