Northeast Region - Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington DC

Comprised of multiple positions, the Northeast Region is led by the Regional Director, and includes Surgical-, Clinical-, Engagement-, and Bone Conduction Account Managers working collaboratively to maximize everyone’s strengths to deliver industry-leading and life-changing technology. The Clinical Account Manager – Northeast Region will be expected to assist in developing business strategies that align with the MED-EL mission, goals, and selling philosophy; meet sales goals; create and maintain customer relationships; and participate in business planning. This position will require extensive travel throughout the region.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop valuable relationships with clinicians, all levels of hospital and medical center professionals, and other ancillary professionals providing services to candidates and recipients of MED-EL hearing solutions;
  • Possess professional engagement skills, demonstrate products and services effectively, and ask for appropriate commitments with integrity while participating in the development of new business which results in sales growth;
  • Under the direction of the Regional Director, participate with regional teammates in establishing and regularly monitoring sales goals for assigned accounts;
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the causes and types of hearing loss, audiologic and otologic evaluation techniques and general treatment options, as well as competency in the anatomy, etiology of disease, indications and contraindications for cochlear implant and bone conduction devices;
  • Provide demonstration and training to hearing health professionals as well as candidates and recipients on MED-EL hearing devices;
  • Demonstrate competency in operating MED-EL equipment and software for performing all clinical tasks across all MED-EL product lines;
  • Participate in On-Call Audiology duties.
Position Qualifications:
  • Positive attitude, self-motivated and collaborative team spirit a must!
  • Required:
    • Masters or Doctoral degree in Audiology or equivalent
    • Experience with hearing systems including cochlear implants and bone conduction
    • Located in an area with easy access to a major transportation hub in the Northeast region
    • Strong computer literacy skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, CRM)
    • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Preferred:
    • Experience with MED-EL hearing systems, including ADHEAR, BONEBRIDGE, and the SYNCHRONY Cochlear Implant system
    • Minimum 3-5 years of experience with cochlear implant and bone conduction systems
    • Located in the Baltimore/Washington DC metro area

The Consumer Engagement Manager is responsible for affecting consumer knowledge and understanding of MED-EL technology and support services. Positively educate and build relationships with consumers and professionals through activities that focus on the consumer journey. Support and maintain regional initiatives, events for user community, HearPeers.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Participate as a member of the Consumer Engagement team by providing insights, ideas and solutions that further develop the program. This can include ideas for research, education, marketing, etc.
  • Manage consumer inquiries and follow documentation guidelines.
  • Develop and curate relationships with potential candidates meeting their needs.
  • Participate in the identification, growth and strategic use of Hear Peers to successfully implement regional initiatives.
  • Independently or collaboratively plan and implement promotion of MED-EL products and services at local, regional, and national consumer-focused conferences and events including, but not limited to planning, delivering presentations, and staffing exhibits.
  • Provide in-service training for educational and rehabilitation professionals.
  • Develop and curate relationships with influencing professionals.
Position Qualifications:
  • Positive attitude, self-motivated and collaborative team spirit a must!
  • Required:
    • Master’s degree preferred in an area related to hearing disorders, hearing health care, hearing impairment interventions, or audiology
    • Valid Certificates of competence in an area relevant to hearing loss intervention
    • 3-5 years relevant work experience•
  • Preferred:
    • Knowledge and experience with MED-EL products and services
    • Experience in industry or similar industry
    • Experience in working with and developing volunteers
    • Bilingual/Spanish
  • Preferred Location:
    • Boston, MA, NYC, NY (currently located or willing to relocate)

South Region - Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, West Virginia

Comprised of multiple positions, the South Region is led by the Regional Director, and includes Surgical-, Clinical-, Engagement-, and Bone Conduction Account Managers working collaboratively to maximize everyone’s strengths to deliver industry-leading and life-changing technology. The Surgical Account Manager – South Region will be expected to assist in developing business strategies that align with the MED-EL mission, goals, and selling philosophy; meet sales goals; create and maintain customer relationships; and participate in business planning. This position will require extensive travel throughout the South Region, in addition to attending occasional regional or national conferences, corporate meetings, and other local or national events.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate expertise on the anatomy, etiology, indications and contra-indications for all MED-EL products; stay current on developments in technology and relevant surgical approaches
  • Understand varying surgical approaches and the surgical differences between competitors
  • Demonstrate competency in operating MED-EL equipment and software for performing intraoperative device testing
  • Develop valuable relationships with surgeons, all levels of hospital and hearing healthcare professionals providing services to candidates and recipients of MED-EL hearing solutions
  • Identify the key elements in hearing device purchasing processes with assigned accounts; thoroughly know and understand the key decision-making components
  • Possess professional engagement skills and demonstrate and discuss products and services effectively
  • Participate in the development of new business which results in sales growth; deliver sales goals
Position Qualifications:
  • Positive attitude, self-motivated and collaborative team spirit a must!
  • Required:
    • Bachelor’s degree or greater in an area supportive to hearing healthcare or medicine
    • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
    • Detail-oriented with a high level of organizational skills and proactivity
    • Located strategically within the South Region with easy airport access- TN, LA or KY
  • Preferred:
    • Master's degree in Audiology or surgical equivalent
    • Experience with MED-EL cochlear implants
    • Operating room experience

The Consumer Engagement Manager - Hispanic Outreach is responsible for affecting consumer knowledge and device choice for Spanish speaking populations. This role will positively educate and build relationships with consumers and professionals through activities that focus on the consumer journey. (Awareness, Learning, Choosing, Getting and Living)


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Strategize, plan, and implement consumer initiatives that are directly aligned with regional/national goals.
  • Participate as a member of the Consumer Outreach/Engagement team by providing insights, ideas and solutions that further develop the program. This can include ideas for research, education, marketing, etc.
  • Increase market penetration and growth of MED-EL implantable hearing solutions in the Hispanic population by positively educating and building relationships with consumers and professionals.
  • Manage consumer inquiries and follow documentation guidelines.
  • Develop and curate relationships with potential candidates meeting their needs utilizing skills and strategies learned via staff training. (IS)
  • Participate in the identification, growth and strategic use of HearPeers.
  • Develop and curate relationships with influencing professionals.
  • Contribute to the “corporate memory” on information such as key regional outreach points of influence, key contacts, key influence points, etc. for each outreach contact center
  • Assist in the development of content and materials for Hispanic Outreach initiatives.
Position Qualifications:
  • Positive attitude, self-motivated and collaborative team spirit a must!
  • Possess strong written and oral communications skills
  • Fluent in Spanish-English written and oral communication
  • IT (computer, internet, phone, etc) literacy
  • Ability to influence others while maintaining tact, diplomacy, and mutual respect
  • Positive team attitude, assisting and supporting other MED-EL team members by not only identifying problems but by contributing to their solution
  • Ability to interact courteously and professionally during interactions with customers or the public at large while representing MED-EL Corporation
  • Strong presentation skills and comfort speaking to varied audiences
  • Required:
    • Master’s degree preferred in an area related to hearing disorders, hearing health care, hearing impairment interventions, or audiology
    • Valid Certificates of competence in an area relevant to hearing loss intervention
    • 3-5 years relevant work experience
    • Fluent in Spanish-English written and oral communication
  • Preferred:
