Forming Forceps

The Skin Flap Gauge 7, made of stainless surgical steel, is used to estimate the thickness of the skin flap over the BCI 601 to ensure good attachment and signal transmission of the external audio processor.

The forming forceps, made of stainless steel, are used to form the FMT attachment clip on the VORP 502x implant around the incus. Other otologic forceps (such as stapes wire crimpers or piston closing forceps) can also be used to form the FMT attachment.
