The DUET EAS™ Speech Processor is built for today’s busy lifestyles, providing features that deliver true convenience and peace of mind. Once the system is initially programmed ("fitted") by a hearing implant professional according to individual requirements the user only needs to place the DUET behind the ear to enjoy the best possible hearing experience.

SoundGuard
The DUET continuously self-monitors its programmed maps for data inconsistencies – such as those that result from static electricity (known as ESD). If a problem is detected, the SoundGuard feature ceases stimulation and causes the Status Light to flash.

Status Light
The DUET features a Status Light that flashes whenever the system needs attention; specific patterns of flashes indicate the type of attention that is required. This feature, along with the Speech Processor Test Device, helps users, parents, therapists and teachers verify that the DUET is functioning properly.
