Make seamless transitions between listening environments without setting changes.
Because your day takes place in a peaceful park or in a loud restaurant, in a busy train station or on a relaxing beach, Automatic Sound Management is designed to provide outstanding performance for real life – automatically.
Other processors require users to make frequent program or setting changes in order to enjoy an optimal listening experience. Superior front-end processing featuring Automatic Sound Management detects changing listening situations on-the-go, adapting automatically so you don’t have to.
Features like SoundGuard, Private Alert, and Status Light are designed to reassure you that your processor is working correctly and to keep it on your ear, where it belongs.
SoundGuard continuously self-monitors all programmed data against possible inconsistencies, e.g., static electricity. If a problem is detected, SoundGuard stops stimulation automatically.
For users concerned about facing a sudden loss of battery power, the Private Alert function provides an acoustic warning signal to alert the user to change batteries. As setting changes are made with the FineTuner™ remote control, the DUET 2 provides corresponding acoustic signals. These signals confirm that setting changes have been made.
In addition to audio signals, the DUET 2 also provides optional visual indications in the form of a Status Light. Like the acoustic signals, the Status Light blinks to indicate low battery life and to show that setting changes have been made.
These features are designed not only to keep the processor working correctly, but also to reassure users that their DUET 2 is working reliably.
The world’s first credit card sized CI remote control
The FineTuner remote control allows users to make fine setting changes to volume or sensitivity while keeping your processor on the ear. For bilateral users, one single FineTuner remote control unit controls both processors independently.
