“Auditrain” is a training program designed to help cochlear implant users improve their communication skills. It contains twenty-two individual lesson plans, each of which contains both synthetic and analytic exercises. The synthetic materials – question and answer exercises, lists of common sentences around a central theme, word matrices and many other exercises – are designed to help CI users optimize the use of their cochlear implant in everyday situations. Developed by Geoff Plant.
“SpeechTrax” is a resource for clinicians to use with individuals for whom conventional speech tracking may not be appropriate. This material features a modified version of Hans Christian Andersen’s classic story, “The Tinderbox.” This engaging story is divided into 53 sections, each of which consists of brief phrases (averaging 8 words each) for a total of 200 words per section. “SpeechTrax” is an effective and enjoyable approach to helping cochlear implant users develop and improve their communication skills. Developed by Geoff Plant.

Hear at Home
“Hear at Home” was developed to meet the needs of people with cochlear implants who require training and support, but who are without easy or ready access to trained therapists. “Hear at Home” is designed for home use with family members and/or friends as the talkers. The exercises provide the talker with detailed instructions for presentation of the materials. This program is divided into 10 separate sessions. In each session a series of speech sounds are introduced in words and sentences. Other exercises are provided which provide additional practice in the recognition of connected speech. Developed by Geoff Plant.
Available languages: English, French, Romanian, and Turkish
Syntrain
“Syntrain” was created to meet the needs of the special group of adult clients who have poor reading skills. Exercises involving spondees and trisyllables in isolation and in simple sentences, as well as picture-based sentence identification exercises are included. Developed by Geoff Plant.
“An AR Sampler” contains a number of test and training resources applicable to day-to-day clinical work in speech pathology and audiology.
