Auditory Nerve Response Telemetry

Auditory Nerve Response Telemetry
(ART™)
has been developed to achieve faster sampling and better temporal resolution (e.g., 1.2 megasamples per second), higher resolution of the nerve response, reduced artifact and better predictability of the evoked auditory potential (EAP).

Auditory Nerve Response Telemetry (ART™) – precise information on the physiological response of the auditory nerve to stimulation (ECAP... Electrically Evoked compound Action Potential) through the cochlear implant. ART employs the combination of an optimized blanking amplifier and the patented adaptive sigma-delta modulation operating at 1.2MHz. Blanking allows disconnecting the amplifier from the recording electrodes during stimulation, thus avoiding amplifier saturation. This measurement technique enables using a low-banwidth amplifier for low-noise recordings possible.
