HearPeers

HearPeersThe HearPeers Program is designed to facilitate communication among implant recipients and potential candidates. When considering a hearing implant, candidates can learn about the experiences of others who have taken the same journey. HearPeers.com gives candidates online access to connect with MED‑EL users and parents who have volunteered to share their stories and offer support.

Community Outreach Program

In addition to serving those touched by hearing loss and implantation, MED‑EL is committed to human-interest efforts not related to the hearing implant industry. MED‑EL’s Community Outreach Program is designed to give back to the community in ways that are completely unrelated to MED‑EL’s business efforts. MED‑EL staff have volunteered with projects ranging from Habitat for Humanity to soup kitchens, and shelters. Additionally, MED‑EL has matched employee donations to organizations ranging from Urban Ministries to the American Heart Association and the American Diabetes Association.

BRIDGE to Better Communication

BridgeThe MED-EL BRIDGE to Better Communication program has quickly gained popularity and respect as a worldwide leader in education and rehabilitation. Our support materials and services are designed for education and rehabilitation professionals, to help implant users and parents bridge the gap between implantation and the rapid development of improved listening skills and spoken communication. The BRIDGE to Better Communication consists of a wide variety of products, resources and materials for adult and pediatric habilitation, assessment, and device management. Additionally, MED-EL staff are prepared to provide assistance with IEP meetings, on-site education of school personnel, and informative recommendations to parents and therapists regarding aural (re)habilitation and the educational setting.
